Washer, Machine - CSP - Quantico

This position operates washing machines to wash household linens, garments, curtains, drapes, and other articles.

Duties

• Manipulate valves, switches, and levers to start and stop the machine.
• Control the amount and temperature of water for the lathering and rinsing of each batch.
• Mix and add soap, bluing and bleaching solutions.
• Load and unload the washing machine, if not done by loaders or un-loaders (pullers).
• Make minor repairs to washing machine.
• Additional related duties as assigned or required within scope.

Requirements - Successful candidates must possess:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Ability to obtain and maintain a favorable security investigation in order to be issued a Common Access Card
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Fluency in English and be able to communicate effectively to include speaking and writing in English
• Ability to be present at work each day and work the hours of the assigned shift
