Supply Manager

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepare finished products for shipment or storage by placing them in shipping containers, the specific operations performed being dependent upon the type, size, and number of units to be packed, the type of container employed, and method of shipment. Work requires the placing of items in shipping containers, and may involve one or more of the following: knowledge of various items of stock in order to verify content, selection of appropriate type and size of container, inserting enclosures in container; using excelsior or other material to prevent breakage or damage, closing and sealing container, and applying labels or entering identifying data on container. Exclude packers who also make wooden boxes or crates.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent

Experience:

• Familiar with Stock Readiness Program
• Current OSHA certified license to operate up to 34K Forklift
• Familiar with FEDLOG packaging requirements

Specialized Knowledge:

• Working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines
• Ability to operate a computer terminal, bar code and document scanners
• Understand the needs of the organization serviced
• Analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts, and take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines
• Ability to obtain and maintain a favorable security investigation in order to be issued a Common Access Card
• Ability to obtain Pack-1A certification within 30 days of award
• AMMO 45, 63, 64 (parts 1 & 2), required to perform AA & E blocking and bracing
• Ability to obtain a secret security clearance in order to handle classified materials
• Must have IATA, IMDG, MILAIR, and 49CFR packaging certification in order to package HAZMAT

Skills:

• Attention to detail
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Excellent follow up skills
• Fluency in English and must be able to communicate effectively, to include speaking and writing in English
• Ability to be present at work each day and work the hours of the assigned shift

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
