Senior Supply Technician Warehouse - PBUSE
This position performs equipment administration and management services at various warehouse locations that meet the standards prescribed in Army Regulation (AR) 735-5, AR 710-2, and Department of Army Pamphlet (DA Pam) 710-2-1, DA Pam 710-2-2, to include Training Army Doctrine Command (TRADOC) and United States Army Cadet Command (USACC) policies and procedures relating to property accountability and maintenance. These services include but are not limited to: receiving, storing, issuing, turning-in, packing, wrapping, shipping and inventorying equipment/supplies on a continuing basis, in support of the USACC's daily mission and its annual Cadet Summer Training (CST) mission.
Duties
- Direct oversight of Supply Technicians in assigned warehouse.
- Maintain accountability and location of all supplies and equipment in warehouse using an automated (Excel, Access etc.) or manual system.
- Conduct location surveys, special and annual inventories in accordance with (IAW) policies and procedures established in AR 735-5, AR 710-2, DA PAM 710-2-1 and USACC G4 Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and report all inventory discrepancies and causative research conclusions to the COR-RA.
- Maintain an active and inactive filing systems, manually or automated IAW Army Record Information Management System (ARIMS), of all documentation of receipts, issues, turn-ins, lateral transfers, hand receipts, temporary loans, direct exchange services to individuals or groups, classification and disposal of unserviceable items, inventories and inventory adjustment documents.
- Use information from technical manuals (TM) and shipping documents to know heights, widths and weights at which equipment/supplies may be stacked on pallets, in bins and bulk locations to prevent tipping, crushing or other damage.
- Keep track of turnover of equipment/supplies, prepares receiving and shipping reports and locator records, perform typing and other clerical or technical support concerned with receiving handling, storage, maintaining while in storage, issuing and controlling equipment/supplies within a warehouse system, and reporting damages and discrepancy findings.
- Conduct issues and turn-ins of equipment/supplies to the brigades and their associated Senior/Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) programs, as well as ROTC cadets and cadre attending annual CST.
- Exchange equipment/supplies turned in by authorized personnel due to fair wear and tear (FWT), unserviceability or improper fit.
- Oversee the process of request, receipt, storage, issue, accountability, and preservation of individual, organizational, installation, and expendable supplies and equipment.
- Maintain visibility and maintenance over inventory to determine need for repacking and preservation of stored equipment/supplies, make routine changes in stock location as necessary, and assemble stock according to type and/or designated area.
- Check equipment/supplies against proper documentation, make proper notations on same, and report discrepancies and damage to COR-RA; place unidentified equipment/supplies in appropriate temporary or permanent storage locations according to specified instructions or established procedures.
- Maintain safe office/storage areas as required.
- Schedule, perform preventive maintenance, and job order equipment needing maintenance to source of repair for required maintenance.
- Manually stack, palletize, arrange, rotate, load and unload equipment/supplies and move items manually by handcart or dolly in areas that require the contractor to stand, stoop and bend in tiring and uncomfortable positions for periods of time.
- Additional related duties as assigned or required within scope.
Requirements
Successful candidates must possess:
- Must have working knowledge of the overall warehousing methods, procedures and techniques and use this knowledge to select storage locations and store, stack and palletize equipment/supplies in consideration of their use, size, shape and quantity.
- Analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect necessary data to establish facts, and take/recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines.
- Fluency in English and be able to communicate effectively, to include speaking and writing, in English.
- Documented experience using current automated government systems to maintain property accountability.
- Proficient with Microsoft software applications, specifically Word and Excel.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a favorable security investigation in order to be issued a Common Access Card.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Maintain a valid state drivers' license and obtain (maintain) a Non-Tactical Vehicle (NTV) and forklift operator's permit.
- Must be able to exert moderate physical effort in the loading, unloading, and arranging of equipment/supplies.
- The contractor shall be able to frequently handle equipment/supplies weighing 30-50 pounds individually and occasionally items weighing in excess of 50 pounds with assistance.
- Must be proficient at using a hammer, pliers, wire cutters and other hand-tools when opening containers, breaking wire banding, banding equipment/supplies and performing other supply related tasks.
- Have the ability to work inside and outside in dirty and dusty environments, and occasionally be exposed to hot, cold, damp and drafty weather conditions while handling equipment/supplies.
- Be able to perform work on hard or uneven surfaces.
- Ability to be present at work each day and work the hours of the assigned shift.
