Senior Logistics Strategic Planner

Duties

The Senior Logistics Strategic Planner is responsible for providing support for strategic planning for Weapon Systems Management Center (WSMC) logistics operations, accomplishing supporting tasks and adjusting to emerging requirements as well as variances in the scope of activities. The Senior Logistics Strategic Planner is one of two key personnel for this effort and will serve as the Site Manager for this effort.

Responsibilities

Business planning

Operations and Strategic planning support

Facilitation and process modeling

Conduct business process reengineering/improvement projects

Prepare documents, presentations, briefing charts and other planning documentation for WSMC executive and senior management personnel

Research and prepare data for management for decision-making

Assist in developing an overall change management strategy

Conduct change impact analysis to assess the potential implications of changes

Prepare contractual deliverables in accordance with deliverable schedule

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or similar

5-7 years' experience as logistician working in support of DoD/Marine weapon systems. 3-5 years of that experience working as logistician at Marine Corps Systems Command or Marine Corps Logistics Command Albany is desired.

5-7 years managing diverse contracts/teams is desired.

Obtain and maintain Secret clearance. Will be subject to a background check.

Proficient with MICROSOFT OFFICE suite.

Ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely and with technical accuracy.

Must be reliable, punctual, trustworthy and exceptionally conscientious.

Must be team oriented and have the ability to positively interact with diverse groups of people to achieve common objectives.

Understanding and knowledge of Marine Corps Logistics processes, functions and operations with emphasis on supply, warehousing, distribution and maintenance desired.

Able and willing to travel, when required, in support of the WSMC

Must have working knowledge of supporting Logistics Information Systems (LIS) to successfully perform the duties of the position. These systems are:
