Senior Logistics Operations Analyst - WSMC

The Senior Logistics Operations Analyst is responsible for providing technical and analytical expertise to support ongoing responsibilities delineated by the Weapon Systems Management Center (WSMC), accomplishing supporting tasks and adjusting to emerging requirements as well as variances in the scope of activities. The Senior Logistics Operational Analyst will serve as one of two key personnel for this effort.

Duties

• Using the common suite of Microsoft Office products with an emphasis on MicroSoft Excel, perform analysis on raw data downloaded from various government data sources
• Produce analysis reports in the form of Excel pivot tables and pivot charts identifying trends and issues to be used by government managers
• Develop metrics and reporting capabilities in addition to trend analyses
• Develop recommendations for updates and/or modifications to WSMC's business processes
• Prepare reports on the performance of WSMC's divisions
• Develop briefings, documents and other communications for senior management personnel
• Facilitate Integrated Process Team (IPT) meetings to include the development of agenda items, recording and tracking actions and generation of minutes and status reports
• Analyze the impact of new DoD, Navy and Marine Corps policy on MARCORLOGCOM and WSMC products
• Other duties as assigned or required

Required

• Bachelor degree in Business, Logistics or similar
• 5-7 years' experience in logistics supporting Marine Corps
• Ability to be obtain and maintain a favorable security investigation in order to be issued a Common Access Card
• Proficient with MICROSOFT OFFICE suite
• Must be reliable, punctual, trustworthy and exceptionally conscientious
• Team oriented and have the ability to positively interact with diverse groups of people to achieve common goals
• Functional level of understanding and knowledge of Marine Corps Logistics processes, functions and operations with emphasis on supply, warehousing, distribution and maintenance
• Fluency in English and be able to communicate effectively, to include speaking and writing in English
• Ability to be present at work each day and work the hours of the assigned shift
