Project Assistant

PTi seeks energetic, dynamic Project Assistant to support the Business Development and Executive Team in the areas of proposal development, marketing, and general administrative functions. Successful candidates must be willing to learn, work well in a team environment and independently, and maintain both strong communication and organizational skills. Must also be advanced in MS Word and Excel, with some experience in Adobe InDesign and Illustrator.

Duties include

  • Develop proposal and bid outlines in accordance with request for quotes. Coordinate with the technical writers on content insertion, editing, and proposal preparation, mailing, etc.
  • Research written library content for use in proposals; Draft and write sections within proposals.
  • Acts as recording secretary in internal and external project meetings, prepares and distributes minutes and action item summaries.
  • Manages Business Development calendar and manages Admin web sites
  • Composes correspondence and drafts (external and internal) such as memos, letters, reports, presentations, agendas, meeting materials, minutes. Material frequently confidential in nature.
  • Develops PowerPoint and other presentations and handouts for program meetings and conference presentations.
  • May coordinate and arrange conference and travel arrangements for the project team, as well as prepares travel claims.
  • Organizes and maintains files, both electronically and paper based.
  • Responds to issues and priorities as they arise.
  • Provides administrative support as necessary to the Executive team, Program Managers, Administration and Business Development departments.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum of 2 years' relevant experience required.

Experience

  • Microsoft Word and Excel advanced proficiency
  • Writing experience, whether technical or creative.
  • Proficient in data mining, searches, and opportunities web site management
  • Experience in government contracting is not required, but successful candidates must be willing to learn.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, organizational and communication skills (both written and oral), integrity, respect for confidentiality, sound judgment and decision making skills needed.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Willing and able to multi-task and prioritize effectively.
  • Self-motivated and able to grasp new concepts quickly.
  • Able to work independently, requiring occasional verbal review and/or approval, re-direction of strategic process.
  • Some travel may be required, approximately 10-20%.
