Logistics Systems Analyst - WSMC

The Logistics Systems Analyst is responsible for providing operational and systems analyses expertise to support ongoing responsibilities delineated by the Weapon Systems Management Center (WSMC).

Duties

• Provide liaison between end-users and technical analysts regarding the analysis, design, and test management of information systems to ensure optimal operational performance.
• Develop decision support tools.
• Analyze the feasibility of and develop requirements for new systems and enhancements to existing systems, ensuring the system design fits the end-user's needs.
• Documents functional and business changes for system developers.
• Use MS excel information to generate reports and maintain GCSS-MC birth records, process work flow, and refresh fielding plans.
• Identify, analyze and recommend solutions for correcting system anomalies.
• Develop and maintain MS SharePoint site, to include uploading and archiving documents, site maintenance and provide limited help desk services and minor software loading refresh support.
• Track and maintain serial number, electronic shipment requests, and key supporting documents.
• Other duties as assigned or required.

Required Qualifications:

Successful candidates must possess:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Information Technology or similar; will consider substitution of 10 years of demonstrated DoD experience in the same/similar field.
• 3-5 years' experience as analyst working with DoD/Marine Corps Logistics Information Systems.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a favorable security investigation in order to be issued a Common Access Card.
• Proficient with MICROSOFT OFFICE suite.
• Fluency in English and the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, in English.
• Must be reliable, punctual, trustworthy and exceptionally conscientious.
• Must be Team oriented and have the ability to positively interact with diverse groups of people to achieve common objectives.
• Must have understanding and knowledge of Marine Corps Logistics processes, functions and operations with emphasis on supply, warehousing, distribution and maintenance.
• Able and willing to travel, when required, in support of the WSMC.
• Ability to be present at work each day and work the hours of the assigned shift.
