Quality Control (QC) Inspector

This inspector implements quality control and safety plans to ensure compliance with contract specifications and applicable regulations, inspects all phases of a variety of goods, services or operation for conformity to established quality, health and safety, and other operational standards by performing on-going work for compliance with contractual provisions; ensures all services listed on the performance requirement summary are performed in a satisfactory manner, specifies areas to be inspected (scheduled and unscheduled) and how often inspections will be accomplished, communicates deficiencies to proper persons, maintains Quality Control files, and document results of all inspections.

Duties

• Opens doors and compartments to look for any unauthorized/hazardous/classified gear that may need immediate attention and initiate action to properly contain any problematic materials.
• Inspects the condition of gear to include looking for obvious signs of damage during transport.
• Prompt reporting as the situation permits to ensure proper handling.
• Conducts inspections and prepares inspection reports to preserve PEI assets in the receiving/shipping process, and in the support of the care-in-store program.
• Initiates documentation for corrective action and follows up on work in progress.
• Conducts Set Assembly inspections prior to PP&P action. Coordinate inspections with personnel performing set assembly to ensure all requirements are executed
• Conducts scheduled monthly care-in-storage inspections on various PEI assets.
• Determines serviceability, assigns condition codes, and next inspection dates.
• Provides status briefs/updates to the Project Manager as required.

Requirements

Successful candidates must possess:

• Attention to detail
• Excellent follow up skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC)
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level clearance
• Ability to pass an Arms, Ammunition & Explosives Medical Screening
• Current USG Operator license
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to be present at work each day and work the hours of the assigned shift
