Job Description

Project Manager

The Task Order Project Manager shall be responsible for the overall performance of work on the contract. She/he will have full authority to act for the contractor on all matters relating to the performance Work Statement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Maintenance Management/Logistics, Business Management or Business Administration.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Distribution Management, Maintenance Management/Logistics or minimum 10 years progressive management experience in distribution operations similar in size and complexity to the operation offered in this contract. (150+ personnel, several supply warehouses, Armory, and various maintenance lots.)
  • Experience shall include as a minimum three (3) years' experience using automated warehouse management systems.
  • Must possess a Secret Security Clearance or have the ability to obtain one.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Intimately familiar with recruiting, screening, and hiring of personnel.
  • Determine and monitor contractor personnel requirements, establish work priorities, organize work schedules, assign duties, and instruct office, and packing/warehouse personnel on special requirements and high priority workloads in order to meet required delivery dates.
  • Provide overall supervision for the Contractor employees to include, but not limited to, planning and managing the contract professionally; ensuring that work is scheduled properly to obtain maximum use of resources; ensuring that accurate and timely reports are provided; effective supervision to prevent inefficient or wasteful methods in the performance of services ordered.
  • Conduct frequent personnel and equipment inspections.
  • Execute cost saving factors and quality controls to ensure work is performed as scheduled and at a fair and reasonable cost.
  • Provide overall management coordination and serve as the central point of contact (POC) with the Government for all work under the contract.
  • Attend and participate in production meetings called by the government representatives and/or COR.
  • Oversee and verify equipment maintenance and upkeep.  (GFE & CFE).  (PM's, cleanliness, and repairs.)
  • Assist in the investigation and determination of cause for lost, damaged, and destroyed supply items.
  • Provide recommendations for increased manpower requirements due to changes to the storage, maintenance, distribution operation.
  • Respond to all communications, upon notification, and shall be on-site to meet with government personnel within one (1) hour during normal duty hours and within two (2) hours outside of normal duty hours. 
  • Conflict resolution, counseling, and corrective action as needed.
  • Provide mentorship to artisan leads (section supervisors.) 
  • Conduct internal promotion boards.

Requirements

Successful candidates must possess:

  • Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC)
  • Ability to manage, control, and direct a large group of employees across several locations
