Maintenance Supervisor

 

The Maintenance Supervisor maintains a clear line of communication with the project manager to ensure all levels of management are aware of the daily impacts surrounding contract support.  This position will act as the Point of Contact (POC) for all maintenance related tasks.  The Maintenance Supervisor ensures a clear line of communication within all work centers supporting maintenance, and supply, movement, staging, and priority of work.

Duties

  • Will attend maintenance meetings with the civilian supervisors and/or COR representatives to discuss priority of work.
  • Will ensure all mechanics are properly educated and trained to perform maintenance related tasks. Will verify all required certifications and licensing's as well as required renewals of such documents are current.
  • Will ensure all work assignments for maintenance personnel is understood and keeping with the priority of work.
  • Communicates daily with the Project Manager concerning production, quality of work, challenges, or concerns.
  • Oversees the actual maintenance being performed and conducts visual inspection of equipment and required paperwork associated with each maintenance task to include shipping documents.
  • Will ensure all maintenance is performed in accordance with applicable Technical Manuals (TM), OEM specifications, and/or other approved documentation.
  • Ensures each completed asset is prepped, staged, and ready for shipment. This includes checking for SL-3 and associated accessories in accordance with the check list.
  • Any discrepancies noted during the visual inspections will be reported to the Project Manager as soon as they are noted. The Project Manager will provide guidance for corrective action.
  • Will attend the Project Manager's weekly production meeting and be prepared to brief the contents of the brief sheet provided by the Project Manager.
  • Upon receiving knowledge, or witnessing, any accident of equipment in performance of maintenance efforts will contact the Project Manager immediately. In such cases, the maintenance supervisor will be expected to provide his own witness statement as to what transpired.
  • Will ensure all personnel under his/her charge complete accurate time keeping entries.
  • Will ensure that all work areas are kept in a high state of police, personnel are wearing the required PPE, and all safety procedures are being followed.

 

 

Requirements

Successful candidates must possess:

  • Successfully pass a background check
  • Possess 3-5 years experience as a maintenance supervisor
  • Possess knowledge of military equipment
  • Possess excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Able to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to be present at work each day and work the hours of the assigned shift
  • Willing to work occasional over time to include weekends
