Facilities Information Specialist

The Facilities Information Specialist is responsible for supporting and maintaining site database programs and software in support of the Edgewood Chemical Biological Center (ECBC), in addition to providing systems and operations analyses as required.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in a technical or computer science-related field
• Minimum 2 years' work experience demonstrating a basic understanding of relational databases, preferably in large scale facility management systems

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Provide dedicated support to populate and maintain ECBC database programs and software for facility's data utilizing Army infrastructure-related systems of record such as ISR, RPLANS, HQIIS, and PRISMS, among others.
• Extract info and update ECBC database for all ECBC facilities and ensure that all relational data is included and accurate
• Work with garrison and others to gather info as required, if not contained in existing Army databases
• Facilitate database software updates, changes, or improvements so that output is relevant and current
• Validate field conditions found in the Army systems of record, garrison documentation, and others

Requirements

• Ability to learn new software and computer systems
• Working knowledge of US Army and DoD regulations and procedures, and a working knowledge of Army facilities and logistics regulations
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
• Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC)
• Ability to travel CONUS
• Government-issued driver's license
