About the Position

PTi is seeking Supply Technician.  A successful candidate will perform on-site logistics support.  This position performs limited aspects of technical supply management work (e.g., inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization) related to depot, local, or other supply activities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of technical supply management work in a number of specialized areas of expertise to include inventory management, causative research, material expediting, material coordination for special programs, and material validation/inventory, eRetrograde Management System (eRMS) a computer base tracking system, and NAVSUP P-700 Packaging Requirements.
  • Match specific item identification by name, stock number/part number, letter, code, quantity or unit of issue.
  • Assist in the unloading of incoming shipments, perform quality control inspections, perform input and extraction from designated systems.
  • Prepare and print manifest of materials twice a day for forward shipment after processing, to include completion of commercial airway bill (FEDEX), customs declaration and American Goods Return forms.
  • Maintain both electronic and manual data files on incoming shipment indicating items processed and provide Daily reports to the Government Representative.
  • Analyze daily incoming Depot Level Repairable Material for induction to the Repair Cycle; compare identifying data on the return document to the "Name Plate" identification from the RETROGRADE item and verify accuracy of identification and ensure repair level capability (SM&R).
  • Code items found in daily incoming shipment that are improperly identified or not Depot Level Repair and bring those items to the attention of the Designated Government Representative.
  • Upon completion of identification, pack and label material for shipment utilizing Government furnished supplies.
  • Ensure items found to contain HAZARDOUS MATERIAL are packed and certified for shipment by an authorized and trained HAZMAT CERTIFER IAW with DOT and current Federal Codes and laws
  • Induct daily incoming shipment into tracking system computer program and maintain files for all assets processed.
  • LAN access will be provided for Identification Publications and other DOD programs to perform identification and validation process.
  • Operation of a forklift to either move to receiving area or stage for transportation
  • Proper marking and labeling of HAZMAT material
  • Safeguard material, items, and equipment
  • During the core hours of 0700-1530, contractors will process and submit all transactions and supporting documentations to the ATAC Division Manager prior to the end of the workday.

Prerequisites

  • 6 years' experience in Supply/Logistics support
  • Must have the skill level to utilize eRMS (eRetrograde Management System)
  • Must have broad knowledge NAVSUP P-485, ATAC Business Rules, and P-700 policy and procedures.
  • Ability to maintain OSHA forklift certifications
  • A good working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines
  • Familiar with military databases (i.e., DPAS, GCSS-MC, FedLog, etc.)
  • Possess excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
  • An analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts, and take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to be present at work each day and work the hours of the assigned shift
