Electro Optics Inspector

The Electro Optics Inspector applies basic and some advanced technical knowledge to solve routine problems by interpreting manufacturers' manuals or similar documents. Work requires familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence, in selecting tools, testing instruments, and is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices.

Duties

• Inspect and test to ensure electro optical equipment is operational
• Perform visual, dimensional and functional quality inspections; quality assurance audits; and prepare inspection reports on a variety of electro optical equipment
• Perform stenciling, tagging and labeling of equipment
• Inspect for in-transit damage, quantity, documentation, completeness, and modifications, packing, packaging, preservation, marking and other requirements as specified in the appropriate contract purchase order, or delivery order and military specifications
• Perform set assembly inspections prior to preservation, packing and packaging action, for accuracy, serviceability, shelf life, calibration, condition coding and possible hazardous and radiological materials
• Perform spot inspections and provide technical assistance on assets in stock at the request of storage manager's inventory personnel and material managers
• Perform monthly inspections on electro optical equipment in storage

Requirements

Successful candidates must possess:

• Prior experience in equipment inspection
• Prior experience in Warehousing
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC)
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level clearance
• Current OSHA 6K Forklift and Mule train certification
• Ability to pass an Arms, Ammunitions and Explosives Medical Screening
• Current HAZMAT Handling certification
• Electronic and/or Optics training
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to be present at work each day and work the hours of the assigned shift
