Job Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Understand, explain and monitor the productivity goals associated with assigned functional area / process to reporting teammates and achieve satisfactory scores on periodic evaluations.
  2. Understand the Acceptable Performance Levels (APL's) associated with assigned functional area / process and prioritize workload to ensure team goals are met.
  3. Assist the Supervisor and provide coordinated instructions to the Warehouse Specialist within the functional areas assigned.
  4. Proficient in the various aspects of storage management functions as assigned: Receiving & Induction, Stow & Storage, Requisition Picking & Packing, and Transportation Preparation.
  5. Receiving Functions (Receiving & Induction) - Primary Responsibilities: Verifying the correctness of incoming shipments by comparing items and quantities unloaded against bills of lading, invoices, manifests, storage receipts, or other records. Checking for damaged goods; insuring that goods are appropriately identified for routing and departments within the facility, preparing and keeping records of goods received.
  6. Warehouse (Stow, Storage, and PPPM) - Primary Responsibilities: Stow Receipts in appropriate storage areas and locations. Ensure stock material is accurate and stored properly. Ensure material is properly packed and preserved and ready for issue (PPPM).
  7. MRO Processing Primary Responsibilities: Pick and Pack Customer requisitions as generated by warehouse operating system. Verifying picks and packs are accurate as compared to requisition documentation (NSN, quantity, and Condition Code).
  8. Transportation Preparation Primary Responsibilities: Prepare requisitions for transportation to include physical conformance of packaging and proper staging in Transportation / Shipping work areas.
  9. Communicate to assigned Supervisor any workload and warehouse system problems that impact operation and execute guidance provided.
  10. Communicate to Compliance Team (Inventory, Customer Service, and Quality Control) system discrepancies that cannot be resolved.
  11. Utilize e-mails for workload tasks and teammate information.
  12. Execute routine workload assessment from storage management generated reports and coordinate other teammates on workload.
  13. Communicate in a positive manner with all areas and levels of the Distribution Center.
  14. Follows established guidelines in performing day-to-day routine tasks as outlined in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)/Job Breakdown Sheets (JBS) and Technical Manuals.
  15. Maintain a safe and secure work environment.
  16. Adhere to Government and Company policies and procedures.
  17. Other duties assigned in association with locally established warehouse management plan & workload requirements.
  18. Familiarization with hazardous material, segregation tables and global harmonization marking and labeling. (POP Marking, DOT labeling)
  19. Ability to read and understand supply documents such as DD1348-1, DD250, Receiving Report, DD1155 and DD149. (DODDAC, RIT, RIC, PIIN, PIID and CAGE codes)
  20. Familiarization with DLA global weight and cube program. (Table A VS GWC)
  21. Familiarization with type storage codes and LIP Program. (TSC and current locations)
  22. Knowledge of preservation and packaging to include identifying the right packaging and preservation for material. (M10, M33, M52)
  23. Must be able to operate lift machinery in support of daily operations. (Forklift, Raymond, order Picker)
